About Me
My artistic journey began at Sierra Nevada University, where I earned a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts with a minor in sustainability. I have experimented with many creative mediums, including sewing and embroidery, watercolor, printmaking, and painting murals. While my academic concentration was in digital art, I have grown a deeper connection to creating 2D art.
My love for nature has been a constant thread throughout my artistic exploration. During my college years, I embarked on my first original landscape series, crafted from repurposed paint samples gifted by a friend. This experience ignited a passion for creating intricate and visually captivating landscapes using recycled materials, a practice I have continued to refine and expand upon.
In my commitment to sustainability, I have saved all the scraps from my landscape projects. This practice led to an innovative and playful exploration of pattern and texture through my most recent work: hole punch collages. These collages are composed of hole-punched paint samples and other recycled paper, transforming discarded materials into vibrant, dynamic artworks.
Through my art, I aim to inspire others to see the potential in everyday objects and to appreciate the intricate beauty of the natural world. My work is a celebration of texture, sustainability, and the joy of making something new from something old.
